Chinese Style

Chinese Illustrations

This was a cooperation with the famous magician and „blonde Shaolin“ Marc Gassert.

Alina Spiegel took the pictures and collected the inspirational sources on her fashion exchange trip in Beijing, the capital city of China.

This trend is about mixturing cultures. It shows how European fashion can be influenced by Chinese surroundings. Fluent Chinese patterns and prints are used. The prints and embroideries contain many ornamental designs. Originally they are very colourful. Therefor the colours are reduced and clean to involve the straight Europian style.

The used techniques are pencil drawings with water color drops and in combination with photo collages of the blonde Shaolin.

About the Author:

My name is Alina Spiegel. People call me "Miss Mirror" because of my last name "Spiegel" which means mirror in English. I love to express myself through fashion every day in a new way depending on the mood I feel. I have always been fascinated by fashion and I have designed my own clothes since I was ten years old.
