It was the perfect weather and location for a wedding of one of my friends! Nice, sunny and warm! The church wedding took place in the beautiful castle “Faber-Castell” in Nuremberg. After the ceremonial part we got a guided tour to experience the castle’s interior. In the afternoon we walked through the incredible historic center of Nuremberg. The rest of the evening we spent dancing, talking and eating fancy cake and lots of other delicious courses at the rooftop wedding party …

Wedding Guest Style Guide:

I’d bet that one of the most commonly asked questions by female wedding attendees is, “what should I wear?!” There is such a huge range of wedding styles these days that sometimes you will feel extremely overwhelmed for sure. So I wrote down some styling advices for you which you really have to consider as a wedding guest:

  • Study the invitation: The bride and groom might have specific wishes or a dresscode in mind which you definetly should consider. Is it a more modern, casual, classic or traditional invitation? Did they invite you per paper or online?
  • Check the location, the weather, the date and time.
  • Never choose the colors white, red or black for your dress! White competes with the brides dress. Red attracts people’s attention and might stand out too much. You don’t want to steel the show from the bride! It’s ther day and you don’t want to distract from her big moment. Black is a way to dark and sad color for a joyful wedding day. Keep it for funerals. So keep the colors light and romantic.
  • Avoid odd prints and bold colors, like neon. Wedding pictures last a lifetime and you don’t want to stand out for the wrong reasons and silly outfits.
  • Don’t over do your make-up!
  • Wear a long dress or cocktail dress. Don’t wear too short skirts! A respectful fit and hemline is a must. Showing off your curves is always empowering, but save it better for a ladies night.
  • When in doubt, overdress. Think of red carpet! This is your chance to wear your best jewelry and the dress which was hanging in your closet for a long time.
  • It never hurts to ask if you are not completely sure about your look! The bride and groom will love it for sure! They will be touched because it shows that you are very excited to come to their wedding and are thinking and planning for it in advance.

All these little details can help you to choose the right outfit!

I was wearing an animal printed maxi dress out of 100% silk combined with a metal waist belt, a golden clutch and artistic, black heels.
